About PM SHRI
Developing Exemplary Schools for a Rising India
PM SHRI School is a centrally sponsored scheme by the Government of India. The initiative is intended to develop more than 14,500 PM SHRI Schools managed by Central Government, State/UT Governments, local bodies including KVS and NVS. The vision is to create safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environments aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, with strong physical infrastructure, meaningful learning experiences and appropriate resources for every learner.
The scheme is intended to nurture engaged, productive and contributing citizens, support quality improvement in school education, and allow learnings from these schools to be scaled to other schools across the country.
